Veteran Bollywood filmmaker Subhash Ghai has reassured his fans about his health after a recent hospital stay. The 79-year-old director, known for his iconic films like “Ram Lakhan,” “Khalnayak,” and “Pardes,” took to social media to express his gratitude for the overwhelming love and support he received during this time.
In a post shared on X (formerly Twitter), Ghai wrote, “I feel so blessed to know that I’ve so many friends expressing their love and affection for my health. After my hectic stint at IFFI Goa, ALL IS WELL NOW and see you soon. SMILE AGAIN. Thank you.”
Prior to Ghai’s social media update, a statement from his team clarified that his hospitalization was for a routine check-up and there was no cause for alarm. A source close to the family further explained that the director undergoes annual check-ups to monitor his health due to his busy schedule. The source emphasized, “Nothing to worry about. We do this every year as it’s important to do all checkups. And due to his busy schedule, we get him hospitalized so the doctors can do all tests properly. He is absolutely fine.”
Ghai’s hospital stay was preceded by his participation in the 55th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) held in Goa. The filmmaker had a busy schedule during the festival, which may have contributed to his health concerns.
This incident has once again highlighted the importance of prioritizing health, even for busy individuals like Ghai. It serves as a reminder that regular health check-ups and timely medical attention are crucial for maintaining well-being.
Ghai’s journey as a filmmaker began as an actor. He made his directorial debut with the 1977 film “Kalicharan.” Over the years, he has directed several critically acclaimed and commercially successful films, establishing himself as one of the leading figures in Indian cinema. His films are known for their grandeur, larger-than-life characters, and memorable music.
Beyond his contribution to Bollywood, Ghai is also recognized for his philanthropic endeavors. He founded the Mukta Arts production house and has been involved in various social initiatives.
As Ghai continues to recover, his fans eagerly await his return to the film industry.
