Xiaomi has officially launched its latest budget-friendly smartphone, the Redmi A5, in India today, April 16, 2025. This new offering from Xiaomi aims to cater to the entry-level smartphone market by providing a balanced mix of essential features and modern technology at an affordable price point. The Redmi A5 is set to go on sale starting tomorrow, April 17, and will be available for purchase across various platforms, including Xiaomi’s official website (mi.com), major e-commerce portals like Amazon and Flipkart, as well as prominent offline retail stores throughout India.
The Redmi A5 boasts a large 6.88-inch HD+ display, which Xiaomi claims to be the largest and smoothest in its segment, featuring a 120Hz refresh rate for a fluid scrolling and viewing experience. The display also has a 240Hz touch sampling rate, enhancing responsiveness. For added protection and user comfort, the screen is equipped with Triple TÜV Rheinland certification, ensuring low blue light emission and flicker-free viewing, along with a peak brightness of 600 nits.
