DeperAI, a burgeoning technology brand focused on innovative charging solutions, today announced a significant strengthening of its presence in the Indian market. The company has appointed Prabhjot Singh Malik as its Chief Executive Officer for India operations, effective immediately. This strategic leadership addition is coupled with new partnerships with major Indian retailers Flipkart and Croma, significantly expanding the availability of DeperAI’s flagship products across the country.
Prabhjot Singh Malik brings a wealth of experience in India’s dynamic consumer electronics and mobile technology sectors to DeperAI. His extensive background includes a significant role with MSM Group, a long-term distribution partner for prominent smartphone brands OPPO and OnePlus in India. During his tenure, Malik played a crucial role in developing and scaling retail strategies for these brands. His responsibilities encompassed overseeing a vast network of exclusive OnePlus retail stores and service centers. Furthermore, he previously served as a PAN India distributor for OPPO and OnePlus across major large-format retail chains, including Reliance Digital, Vijay Sales, and Croma. Beyond the mobile industry, Malik was also instrumental in introducing the UK-based health supplement brand MyProtein to the Indian market, establishing both online and offline distribution networks. His professional journey also includes experience in international logistics and market expansion across diverse regions such as Dubai, Vietnam, the UK, and China. His deep understanding of the Indian market, coupled with his retail acumen and passion for technology, positions him as an ideal leader to spearhead DeperAI’s growth in this crucial region.
Building upon its existing collaborations with e-commerce giant Amazon and major retailer Reliance Digital, DeperAI’s newly forged partnerships with Flipkart and Croma mark a significant step in its omnichannel strategy. These collaborations will make the company’s flagship Superpower 65W Adapter, featuring its proprietary UFCS Fusion Fast Charging Technology, readily accessible to a wider consumer base. The Superpower 65W Adapter is now available across Flipkart’s extensive online platform and through Croma’s widespread network of 4457 stores across India. This expanded retail presence complements the existing availability on Amazon and in Reliance Digital outlets. DeperAI has reported strong initial demand for its flagship product, with daily sales reaching 1,000 units, indicating a positive reception from Indian consumers.
Looking ahead, DeperAI has ambitious plans to diversify its product portfolio to include advanced AI-integrated charging solutions and wireless chargers. This product expansion will be supported by the company’s existing manufacturing partnership with Caria Factory in Noida, a key supplier of chargers for major brands like OPPO. Commenting on these significant developments, Jim Zhang, Founder of DeperAI, stated, “India is one of the most dynamic and promising markets for tech innovation. With our foundations laid, it’s time to accelerate. Prabhjot’s deep knowledge of the Indian market, his retail acumen, and passion for tech make him the perfect fit to lead DeperAI into its next phase of growth.”
Expressing his enthusiasm for his new role, Prabhjot Singh Malik, CEO India, DeperAI, said, “I’m excited to join DeperAI at such a pivotal time. The brand already stands out for its quality and performance. My focus will be on expanding our footprint, listening closely to our users, and delivering future-ready charging solutions that combine AI, innovation, and everyday utility.” These strategic moves underscore DeperAI’s commitment to the Indian market and its ambition to become a leading provider of advanced charging solutions in the region.
