The tech world is abuzz with anticipation as Nothing’s sub-brand, CMF (Colour, Material, Finish), gears up to launch its latest smartphone, the CMF Phone 2 Pro, in India. The official launch event is scheduled for April 28th, but the rumor mill is already churning, with purported pricing details leaking online, giving potential buyers a glimpse of what to expect in terms of cost.

According to a now-deleted tweet by a well-known tipster, Yogesh Brar, the CMF Phone 2 Pro is expected to be available in two storage configurations, both featuring 8GB of RAM. The base variant with 128GB of internal storage might be priced around ₹18,999, while the higher-end 256GB variant could be launched at ₹20,999. These prices suggest a slight increase compared to the CMF Phone 1, which debuted at ₹15,999 for the 8GB/128GB model. Some reports also hint at a potential bank discount of ₹1,000, which could bring the starting price down to an even more attractive ₹17,999.

While the leaked prices are yet to be officially confirmed by Nothing, they align with the company’s strategy of offering stylish and feature-rich devices in the budget-friendly segment. The “Pro” moniker suggests that the CMF Phone 2 Pro will offer upgrades over its predecessor, justifying the potential price increase.

Beyond the speculated pricing, several key features of the CMF Phone 2 Pro have already been teased or leaked. The device is confirmed to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Pro chipset, promising enhanced performance and efficiency compared to the Dimensity 7300 found in the CMF Phone 1. Photography enthusiasts can look forward to a triple-camera setup on the rear, headlined by a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 50-megapixel telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom, and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens.

The CMF Phone 2 Pro is also expected to sport a 6.7-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate for an immersive visual experience. A notable software feature will be the integration of “Essential Space,” an AI-powered hub for organizing and accessing frequently used files, activated by a dedicated “Essential Key” on the side of the phone. The device will run on Android 15 out of the box and is expected to receive three years of software updates and six years of security updates.

With its launch just around the corner, the CMF Phone 2 Pro is shaping up to be a compelling option in the Indian smartphone market, offering a blend of stylish design, capable performance, and a feature-rich experience at a competitive price point. The official unveiling on April 28th will confirm the leaked details and provide the final word on pricing and availability.
