Jamia Millia Islamia launches new entrepreneurship program for students

Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI): The Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE), Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) University, has established an Entrepreneurship E-Cell. Their main goal is to provide information about the intricacies of the entrepreneurship ecosystem among the interested students.

The university has set up this cell for helping the learners become successful entrepreneurs. The members of the board are planning to conduct workshops, multiple sessions, guest lectures by renowned and accurately experienced people from the world of entrepreneurship and startups.

JMI E-Cell

The new E-Cell also helps and provides all kinds of support to the alumni and current university students so that they can fulfil their dreams of becoming entrepreneurs to some extent. This innovative idea will help their ambition to reach the state of incubation. And only then a complete matured startup from the very basic state of an idea.

The university added to its official statement that the Cell is building an investors pool and contacting multiple mentors and experts from the industry to provide resource allocation to the interested students with the help of the CIE, JMI.

Some of the workshops will be organised within this E-Cell related to the topic of patents, intellectual property rights, ideation, funding pitch making, business canvas model and design. The Cell will also organise several field trips to incubation centres, specific startups and other institutions related to the entrepreneurship set-up.

JMI builds Club and Teams under the E-Cell

Related to the specific areas of entrepreneurship many clubs have been developed for this Cell. These are-

  • Animation and Web Development Club
  • Robotics Club
  • Biotech Club
  • Programming Club
  • Finance Club
  • Research Club
  • Entrepreneurship Club

Several teams have also been established for supervising the work of the above-mentioned clubs. The teams are-

  • HR Team
  • Social Media Team
  • Events Planning Team
  • Graphic Designing Team
  • Outreach and Corporate Relations Team

There is also a core team to supervise the entire work of this Cell. The team consists of President Ayush Kumar, Vice President Madiha Siddiqui and the Heads of all the clubs.

The CIE, JMI has created this E-Cell not just to promote entrepreneurship for the learners but also among the community around the campus. In near future, the university is planning to create more such development programmes and short-term courses to help the students.
