Mumbai: Actor Brahma Mishra is well known for his role of Lalit in the popular Indian web series ‘Mirzapur’ is found dead from his house at Mumbai’s suburban Versova on Thursday.
Police traced his body in a semi-decomposed situation after 3 days of his death. His neighbors complained to the police that a bad smell is coming from the flat. Then they came and open the door with the help of a key maker. He was living in the Versova apartment for the last four years.
Mumbai police said that the actor was found on the bathroom floor. He lived alone in his house. The police suspect that due to the cardiac arrest he is dead and his body has been sent for an autopsy in Cooper Hospital. They are waiting for the report. According to the police, Mishra was met with a doctor on 29th November for chest pain and was taking medicine. Police added that an Accidental Death Report (ADR) has been filed.
Amazon Prime Video, the OTT platform that hosted ‘Mirzapur’ tweeted: “Brahma Mishra, our Lalit. Thank you for making us laugh, thank you for making us cry. Thank you for always reminding us of the loyalty & love a friendship holds. Always in our hearts. RIP, Brahma Mishra.”
Ali Fazal who shared the screen with Mishra in ‘Mirzapur’ has shared some emotional lines by attaching some glimpses of the late actor from the web show on social media. Ali wrote: “Hearts broken today, yet again. Brahma, take care Saathi… RIP.”
Co-actor Divyenndu, who played one of the most important roles of Munna Tripathi in this series posted: “RIP Brahma Mishra. Our Lalit is no more. Let’s pray for him, everyone.” Also, he shared some selfies with Brahma Mishra with his post.
Several other actors expressed their sorrow for the sudden death of Brahma Mishra. Rasika Duggal, Shweta Tripathi Sharma expressed their condolence in the comment section of others’ posts. His fans and followers are also showing their love and respect towards the late actor on social media.
Besides, ‘Mirzapur’ the late actor starred in ‘Haseen Dillruba’, starring Vikrant Massey and Taapsee Pannu. He also featured some other films such as ‘Manjhi- The Mountain Man’, ‘Hawaizaada’, ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’, ‘Dangal’, ‘Hello Charlie’, Akshay Kumar’s ‘Kesari’, and ‘Chor Chor Super Chor’ (2013).
