Ajith Kumar’s latest action thriller, ‘Good Bad Ugly’, continues its impressive run at the box office, demonstrating remarkable staying power even into its second week. After eleven days in theaters, the film has successfully maintained its momentum, inching closer to the coveted ₹140 crore mark in India.

According to early estimates from industry trackers, on its eleventh day, which was a Sunday, ‘Good Bad Ugly’ raked in approximately ₹6.8 crore in net collections across India. This Sunday surge indicates a healthy audience turnout, likely benefiting from the weekend boost. The film had a strong opening week, amassing a substantial ₹119.15 crore. While there was a natural dip in collections during the weekdays of the second week, the film has shown resilience, with Sunday providing a significant upward trend.

The overall Tamil occupancy on its eleventh day stood at a robust 41.09%. Notably, the evening shows recorded the highest occupancy at 55.39%, reflecting continued interest during prime viewing hours. Chennai continued to be a stronghold for the film, registering an even higher occupancy rate. This sustained interest, particularly in Tamil Nadu, underscores Ajith Kumar’s massive fan base and the film’s appeal to its core audience.

Globally, ‘Good Bad Ugly’ has already crossed the ₹200 crore milestone, solidifying its position as a significant commercial success. The film’s worldwide gross earnings are reported to be around ₹221 crore, with a substantial contribution from overseas markets. This makes it one of Ajith Kumar’s highest-grossing films on the global stage.

Directed by Adhik Ravichandran, ‘Good Bad Ugly’ features Ajith Kumar in a powerful role, supported by a strong ensemble cast including Trisha Krishnan, Arjun Das, and Priya Prakash Varrier. The film revolves around AK, a notorious gangster known as “The Red Dragon,” who attempts to leave his criminal past behind for a peaceful family life. However, fate intervenes when his son gets entangled in a drug case, forcing AK to confront his past once again.

While some reviews have pointed out a straightforward plot and an over-reliance on Ajith’s star power, the film has undoubtedly struck a chord with his fans, who have celebrated his return to a mass-action avatar. The film is packed with high-octane action sequences and moments designed to elevate Ajith’s on-screen persona, which has resonated well with the target audience.

Looking ahead, with positive word-of-mouth still circulating and steady theater occupancy, ‘Good Bad Ugly’ is expected to continue its successful run. It remains to be seen how it fares in the coming weekdays, but the film is firmly on track to cross the ₹140 crore mark in India and further solidify its blockbuster status.
