The announcement of the tax exemption was made by Goa Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant, who took to social media to express his admiration for the film and its subject matter. “It gives me immense pleasure to announce that the movie ‘Chhaava,’ based on the life and sacrifice of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, will be tax-free in Goa,” he stated.  

Dr. Sawant further emphasized the significance of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj’s legacy, highlighting his unwavering courage and dedication to the defense of his land and faith. He noted that the Maratha ruler’s resistance against the Mughal and Portuguese forces serves as an enduring source of inspiration for generations to come.
