Jeep is gearing up to launch its new SUV, the Jeep Avenger, in India, poised to compete directly with the popular Tata Nexon. The Avenger, expected to hit the Indian market in 2025, is anticipated to be priced between ₹8 lakh and ₹12 lakh.
The Jeep Avenger boasts a stylish exterior, featuring the brand’s iconic seven-slot grille, multi-spoke alloy wheels, and distinctive square-shaped taillamps. Its design is based on the Citroen C3, making it a compact SUV well-suited for Indian roads.
Inside, the Avenger offers a blend of comfort and technology, taking inspiration from the C3 Aircross facelift. The interior is expected to feature a modern layout, advanced features, and ample space, with potential variations in color schemes. Drivers can look forward to a contemporary infotainment system and smart convenience features.
Performance-wise, the Indian version of the Jeep Avenger will be equipped with a petrol engine, likely the 1.2-liter naturally aspirated and turbo versions found in the Citroen C3. An electric vehicle (EV) variant is slated for a 2026 launch, promising a range of approximately 400 km. The Avenger is expected to deliver a commendable performance both in urban settings and on highways.
Upon its release, the Jeep Avenger will face competition from a range of popular SUVs, including the Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, Maruti Brezza, Renault Kiger, and Mahindra XUV300. However, Jeep’s legacy and brand value may give it a competitive edge in the market.
