Notably, specialized facilities are dedicated to elephants, including hydrotherapy pools for rehabilitation. Vantara’s core mission is deeply rooted in wildlife conservation and animal welfare. The center’s efforts extend beyond rescue and rehabilitation to include breeding programs aimed at preserving endangered species. While the facility is currently operational, plans are underway to open it to the public in the future, allowing for greater awareness and education about wildlife conservation. This initiative also shows a drive to improve animal welfare within Indian Zoos. Vantara is the vision of Anant Ambani. It is a 3,000 acre facility. It houses over 1.5 lakh rescued animals, from over 2,000 species. It has a very advanced hospital on site. While opened, it is not yet fully open to the public.

New Delhi: The Union Cabinet clears the proposal and raises the minimum age of a woman for marriage from 18 to 21 as the same as a man. Prime Minister Narendra Modi said after one year that the plan is under review. During his last year’s Independence Day speech, Prime Minister mention this proposal. Narendra Modi said in his speech, “This government is constantly concerned about the health of daughters and sisters. To save the daughters from malnutrition, they must be married at the right age.” In the present time, the minimum marriage age for men is 21 but for women, this is 18. The Indian government is looking at the changes to the Special Marriage Act, Prohibition of Child Marriage Act 2006, and the Hindu Marriage Act 1955 to bring the plan into action. Section 5(3) of the Hindu Marriage Act 1955 sets that the minimum age for a bride is 18 years and for the groom, it is 21. Also the Prohibition of Child Marriage Act 2006 and The Special Marriage Act 1954 told the same as 18 and 21 years is the minimum age for marriage for women and men. The NITI Aayog task force directed by Jaya Jaitly had backed the recommendation. The task force was made in last year June month. Senior officials of the Health Ministry, Top government expert VK Paul, Law Ministry were among the members of the task force. In December the recommendation on the proposal of women’s marriage age was submitted by the task force. As they stressed the marriage age of a woman and told that a woman must be at least 21 years old age during their first pregnancy. Task force director Jaya Jaitly quoted the lines on the press, “I want to make clear that our reasoning behind the recommendation was never one of population control. Recent data released by NFHS 5 (National Family Health Survey) have already shown that the Total Fertility Rate is decreasing and the population is under control. The idea behind it (the recommendation) is the empowerment of women.” The delayed marriage of a woman has positive impacts in various sectors such as financial, social, and health impacts on families, society, and children.

According to this law, the Indian government said that through market forces the crop prices would be determined. Farmers will get more revenues for growing the in-demand crops. The government claimed that, under this law, farmers can now directly deal with end-buyers. But the farmers were worried that the new law may be evaporated their guaranteed minimum price for the produce. They also feared the ‘corporatization of agriculture may force on the farmers unreasonably low prices. Law 2: Farmers Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Act. The government said that under this law farmers can freely sell their farm produce in any place of the country. And they don’t have to pay state tax for this trade. Small and marginal farmers said that it is difficult to get better prices at the market. Because storage and travel are much cost-efficient. They are also angry about section 8 of this law which said that farmers can appeal to the sub-divisional magistrate(SDM) for dispute resolution. They told that they are not much influential to go to the SDM office. Law 3: Essential Commodities (Amendment Act). Under this law government’s power was to scrap the limited stocks of essential food, except for an extraordinary situation. Onions, edible oil, and other goods were removed from this list. It may further allow the government to regulate the trade of such goods or they can re-include those commodities on the list. In this law, there were no odds between the government and farmers.
