Abhimanyu

Cooking and exploring new places and cuisines has always been his passion. Abhimanyu an avid food lover, started cooking at the age of 9. Having studied in Pune, Kharghar & Ireland and staying alone away from home, he put the phrase “necessity is the mother of invention” come into play when it came to cooking.

He mastered his cooking skills daily after watching YouTube videos and used to cook amazing and different variety food for his room mates, which the room mates used to enjoy. Having house parties, calling friends over and cooking for them all alone was always a hobby for Abhimanyu. Back during his MBA days, Abhimanyu also used to cook food at his friends places for house parties and call his friends over.

Abhimanyu was always fond of documenting his life hence to click a lot of food pictures and record food videos of his cooking or wherever he went out to eat, since 2011 using a Blackberry phone then and used to upload on his private FB account and FB food group named Eatlo where in short time, he gained popularity for his cooking and food reviews.

Since Instagram was gaining a lot of popularity back in the days, Mr. Shah (one of the members of the Eatlo group) suggested Abhimanyu to start an Instagram page. So after years of build up for Abhimanyu, “@ghumakkadgastronaut” was born in 2015 & It’s been 5 years now.

Abhimanyu is also an ex – Restaurateur. He used to run a multi cuisine restaurant where he used to cook himself many a times as well back in the days, but had to shut it down cus of the demonetization. So then Abhimanyu decided to put all the focus back on his IG page @ghumakkadgastronaut and take this to another level.

People often compliment Abhimanyu for his cooking skills and different varieties of food and experiments that he does on his Instagram stories and posts. Whilst on the contrary Abhimanyu doesn’t seem to like the term Cook for some reason, hence he came up with a hashtag – “CookNaaKaho” and usually put all his home made proper ghar ka khana cooking pictures and videos under the hashtag.

Abhimanyu says that he has a crush on the world and firmly believes that to travel is to eat local food. Cooking is a science, experimenting is the catalyst.
