Kerala Tourism: Tourists who are planning to visit Kerala can now enjoy all types of comforts while travelling in a luxury caravan. As per the reports, the Kerala Tourism Development Corporation (KTDC) has announced the launch of Kerala’s first Caravan Tourism package, under which tourists will be able to avail all comforts while travelling on a luxury caravan.
For getting comfort travellers have to pay INR 3999 plus 18% tax per person per night. Plus, the ride fare has been fixed at INR 40 per kilometre, whereas the caravan will be able to accommodate up to two children and four adults. The KTDC said that the boarding and dropping points could be arranged as per the travellers’ wishes.
Reports said that as Kerala’s premium hospitality service provider, the state-run KTDC has signed an agreement with caravan service providers opting to operate under the package. Further adding momentum to the state’s Karavan Kerala initiative, KTDC is now offering a Caravan Holidays package for tourists visiting the district.
Initially, the safari circuit as per the package will cover Kumarakom – Vagamon – Thekkady route. The trip has been designed to begin at KTDC’s Water Scapes in Kumarakom and end at Aranya Nivas in Thekkady.
The journey will start in the morning from the lakeside in Kumarakom, then reach Vagamon in the afternoon, thereby travelling a distance of 80 to 100 km via the breathtaking settings of central Kerala. Reportedly, the package comes with a bonfire and a free parking experience for tourists.
The next day, the caravan will take the travellers to eco-tourism hub Thekkady, where they will get the chance to stay at one of the KTDC’s beautiful properties. As regards the packages, tourists can either opt to travel the entire route or opt for a single-day journey. Changes could be made in the caravan as per the requirements of the travellers.
Referring to this development, KTDC Chairman PK Sasi stated that it’s commendable that KTDC is launching this highly attractive package when tourism activities are back in full swing in Kerala. This wholesome package aims at providing a high-end experience to domestic as well as foreign tourists at a reasonable rate, he added.
Also, the compliments in the package will include free veg breakfast, free snacks, a bonfire experience, tea and coffee in the park, and a Wi-Fi connection for tourists.
