The much-awaited film 83’s trailer is finally out on Tuesday. The film is directed by Kabir Khan and it is based on the life of former cricketer Kapil Dev and his contributions to winning the World Cup in 1983, which was India’s first win in the World Cup. Ranveer Singh plays the role of Kapil Dev and Deepika Padukone plays the character of Kapil Dev’s wife Romi Dev.
People are eagerly waiting to see the full movie. On 15th December, at Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea International Film Festival the film will release its World Premiere. It will be released in India on the big screen on 24th December 2021.
Ranveer Singh, the popular face and the biggest Bollywood filmstar stars the role of the former Indian cricketer and captain Kapil Dev. As an award-winning actor, Ranveer Singh portrays himself as an original Kapil Dev. Though Deepika came into the trailer for a short time, she also wins the people’s hearts and minds as Romi Dev. Their look was completely 90’s and as same as Kapil and Romi.
The trailer is under 4 minutes and it starts with the commentary that how the Indian cricket team recovered from the double thrashing that they received from the Australia and West Indies in the 1983 match at India vs Zimbabwe. Besides, Hindi the movie will be also released in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam.
The movie follows the journey of the Indian cricket team that how they overcome all difficulties and finally win the first World Cup Trophy in 1983. To see the trailer it looks like that this sports drama has all types of elements to attract movie lovers to the screen.
Besides, Ranveer and Deepika the movie have ensemble casts, and all of them are brilliant actors- Pankaj Tripathi, Jiiva, Jatin Sarna, Dhairya Karwa, Chirag Patil, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Nishant Dahiya, Sahil Khattar, and Addinath Kothare. The project is jointly produced by Kabir Khan, Deepika Padukone, Sajid Nadiadwala, Phantom Films, and Reliance Entertainment.
